To maintain the shape and finish of your bag, we recommend cleaning by hand. For our Cordura and 600D Polyester Fabrics (like the Right Pack, Big Student and SuperBreak), use cool water with a soft damp cloth to wipe down the interior and exterior of your pack, Never use bleach or harsh detergents on your bag.

Is a Jansport backpack considered a carry-on? A backpack is actually considered a personal item as it can fit under the seat. It can also be considered a carry-on so you are free to use it as a carry-on. Some airlines give the option of bringing a carry-on and personal item, so in essence you can bring both.

If it is a sewn on logo/patch(most Jansports) start in one corner of the patch, carefully cut the threads holding it on with a very sharp blade (razor/utility knife) work your way around - cutting all the threads attaching it, being very careful not to cut the backpack fabric.
